Video Games Good or Bad

In this article there are two speakers, in the good side Julius Albert Custodio, he is an actual gamer and engineer. His main point is to convince people of how video games are not bad for people, the same way as in the other article is trying to change people opinion on video games. In the bad side Ryan Henson main point is to show that video games can lead to violence and addiction. The three articles are speaking to parents who are unsure about wetter video games
are good or bad.

The first one show his main point by using proved facts on how video games are helpful. The others use their own opinions and examples of their lives to convince people of their ideas. One of the writers uses a rhetorical question at the end of the article which is:

“See, wasn’t that fun?!” The other authors use a persuasive voice to convince people of their opinion, which works well at times when they are right of something.

I agree with the first two articles, because I’m a gamer and I think video games are good for people, because it’s proved that video games can actually help you release your stress in a passive game. Being a gamer is not the same thing as being an addict, a gamer knows how to play a game and takes the time needed to play, we enjoy playing and specially like playing, as with addict they play because they think they need to play, just like any other addict to other stuff.

  1. I agree with you to some extent; i think video games do help you relieve stress, but if too much time is spent on it than some other things don't get done and it's not helpful in your life. but i like video games too ^.^ but me, i get sucked into them if i play too much and then i always want to play and i don't do anything else, so i try not to play too much

  2. i agree because i personally love video games too and it does make me relax. but! i believe that being active and out there is more important. trust, i have learned a lot from video games like strategy and how to do things and how to pick up on things quicker. but i believe that being active is a much better thing. i agree with the above as well because things wouldnt get done if im into the game too much, lol.
